The batch Certification Scheme of CIIPL is designed to carry out an evaluation of lots/batches or single units of products offered for certification against specified standards. The evaluation is generally for lot acceptance as per the sampling scheme normally given in the relevant product standard. Testing of the samples is performed at the client’s premises or in accredited laboratories, as needed. Certification is granted for only the quantities offered in the particular lot /batch. Labels containing CIIPL’s certification logo are issued in exact quantities for application on the certified products. Factory evaluation is not envisaged under this scheme, and there is no follow-up surveillance.
